WHITE CHILI

1 lb. Great northern beans
4 C. chicken broth
1 clove garlic, minced
1 onion, chopped
4 oz. can green chilies, chopped
1-1/2 tsp. chili powder
4-cups chicken, cooked and chopped
Garnish grated cheese
Place beans in Dutch oven, cover with water and soak overnight; drain. Combine beans, broth, garlic and onion. Bring mixture to boil. Reduce heat and simmer for 3 hours. Add chili powder and chicken, simmer 1 hour longer. Spoon into bowls and garnish with cheese. Serves 8 to 10
