Prairie Pea Salad

Prairie Pea Salad
6 Tbsp. mayonnaise
Juice of 1 lemon
4 or 5 green onions, chopped finely
2 cups frozen peas, (not thawed)
 1 cup Cheddar cheese, grated
salt and pepper to taste
2 cups lettuce, torn into bite-sized pieces
8 slices crisp bacon, crumbled
The day or evening before serving, combine all ingredients except bacon and lettuce. Stir well; cover and refrigerate.
Just before serving add lettuce and bacon.
