Mix flour, baking powder, salt and shortening with enough milk to form a ball of dough. In a 9x13 inch
baking dish, melt butter. Roll dough out into a thin rectangle and cover with 2 cups fruit. Roll all this
up like a jelly roll. Cut into slices and place in baking dish on top of the melted butter. Mix together
1 1/2 cups sugar, 2 cups water and heat. Pour over the jelly roll slices. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes.
A great Fall or Winter dessert. Note: rolling the dough is easier if you use a pastry cloth.
