Cherries and Chops

6 Smoked Pork Chops, Cut 1/2-Inch thick
1/2 cup sugar
2 Teaspoons cornstarch
dash of salt

1/2 teaspoon finely shredded orange peel
1/4 cup orange juice
1-1/2 cups fresh or frozen unsweetened tart red cherries

1. Grill pork chops over medium coals for 8 -10 minutes. Turn & grill 7~8 minutes more or till done.
2. Meanwhile in a medium saucepan, combnine the saugar, cornstarch,and salt. Stir in the orange peel,
orange juice, and cherries. Cook and stir till the sauce is thickened & bubbly. Cook & stir for
2 minutes more.
3. Serve cherry sauce with pork chops.
Makes 6 servings.
