Granola Bars

Granola Bars
3 1/2 cups oats, quick or uncooked
1 cup raisins
1 cup chopped nuts
2/3 cup margarine, melted
1/3 cup honey, corn syrup, or molasses
1 egg, beaten
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
1/2 tsp. salt
Toast oats in ungreased shallow baking pan at 350 degrees for 15-20 minutes. Combine toasted oats with remaining ingredients and mix well. Press firmly into well greased 15 1/2 by 10 1/2 jelly roll pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes. Cool and cut into bars. Recipe can be baked ahead and frozen.
