Marshmallow Brownies

Marshmallow Brownies
1 1/2 cups miniature marshmallows
1 (6 oz.) package semisweet
chocolate pieces (1 cup)
1/2 cup butter or margarine
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 cup flour
1/4 tsp. baking powder
dash salt
1/2 cup chopped nuts (walnuts or pecans)
1/2 cup miniature marshmallows
1/2 of a 1 oz. square
unsweetened chocolate
1 Tbsp. butter or margarine
4 tsp. milk
3/4 cup powdered sugar
In saucepan combine 1 1/2 cups miniature marshmallows, 1 cup chocolate pieces and 1/2 cup margarine; melt over low heat, stirring constantly. Cool.Blend in eggs and vanilla.Thoroughly stir together flour, baking powder and salt; blend into chocolate mixture.Stir in chopped nuts. Spread into a 9 x 9 x 2" baking pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 15 to 20 minutes. Cool. Frost with Marshmallow frosting.

Marshmallow Frosting: In saucepan combine 1/2 cup miniature marshmallows, 1/2 of a 1 oz. square unsweetened chocolate, 1 Tbsp. margarine and 4 tsp. milk. Melt over low heat, stirring constantly. Remove from heat; beat in 3/4 cup sifted powdered sugar.
