Pecan Sticks

1 stick oleo
1 C. self-rising flour
1 tsp. vanilla
1 C. brown sugar, packed
1 egg
1 C. chopped pecans

Melt butter and sugar over low heat. Let come to rolling boil. Remove from
heat and let cool. Add beaten egg, flour, vanilla and nuts. Spread on Pam-sprayed cookie sheet with sides.
Bake 40 minutes at 300 degrees F. Cut in strips at once, or they will crumble
