Boiled Chocolate Cake

1 1/2 cups sugar
1 cup water
4 oz butter
2 Tablespoons cocoa

1/2 tsp. Baking soda
2 eggs
1 1/2 cups self raising flour (or add 1 tsp. baking powder if using ordinary flour)

Place sugar, water, butter, cocoa, and soda into a sausepan, and stir over a low heat until butter has
melted.
Bring to the boil, and simmer for 5 minutes.
When cool mix in beaten eggs, and sifted flour. Beat well.
Turn into a greased and lined 7 inch. baking tin, and bake for one hour at 350 deg or 180 c. Ice as you
like when cold.
This mixture is very runny.
