Jalapeno Corn Bread

1 cup of milk
1 cup of cornmeal
1 cup cream style corn
2 eggs
3/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup bacon drippings

1 small onion (chopped)
2 garlic buttons (crushed)
2 jalapeno peppers (chopped)
1 cup grated cheese
3/4 teaspoon baking powder

Mix all ingredients together except the cheese. Pour 1/2 of the batter in a hot skillet. Sprinkle cheese
over the top, then add balance of batter. Bake at 450 degrees until brown on top.
