Submitted by - Mary Halla - TX

2 pkg. yeast
2 teaspoons salt
2/3 cup sugar
1/2 cup melted shortening

1/2 cup hot water
3-1/2 cups warm water
10 cups flour (approximate measure)

Put yeast in a mixing bowl, add salt. Add sugar, shortening and water mix. Add flour until it gets thick. Turn until floured board. Knead until waxy or stiff. Put in bowl, let rise in a warm place until doubled about 1-1/2 hours. Put on bread board and work some more. Cut in four parts, put in greased loaf pans, let rise until doubled. Bake 30 minutes or until done in a 3501 oven. Yield: 4 loafs.
